An important cultural reference point is the Antiquarium Archeologico of the city of Troina. The Vastedda cu sammucu is part of the local identity. It is a typical focaccia from Troina filled with salami and local cheese and flavored with elderflower. The specialty is part of the annual Festino di San Silvestro, held between May and June.

The Festino Troinese is the city's most important and particularly deeply rooted religious celebration. It honors the patron saint San Silvestro da Troina.
