Another route into the past leads to the Museo delle Fortificazioni Costiere della Sicilia. In its rooms, the museum offers a visual multimedia tour with educational panels explaining the development of defence systems during various historical periods. The tour places the development of coastal fortifications in chronological context, thereby complementing the history of the Castello di Brolo with a broader view of Sicily's defence systems.

The Via Valeria is also part of the town's history. In ancient times, it ran through the centre of Brolo and was used for trade. The historic route therefore points to a period when the town was involved in commercial activity. Promenade, Sea and the Scoglio di Brolo

A special tradition is the Festa del Mare, which takes place every year. During the event, the statue of Cristo degli Abissi is raised from the seabed and placed on the offshore rock for several days. This ritual connects the maritime surroundings with a cultural event of limited duration.
