Buseto Palizzolo combines a rural Sicilian setting with nature experiences and historic sites. Bosco Scorace, in particular, shapes the landscape: the forest covers 750 hectares and lies at an altitude between 400 and 642 meters above sea level. Nature trails lead to a small lake below the summit and to a panoramic area. Around Buseto Palizzolo, paths lead from the valley into wooded and hilly areas; the town is suitable for trekking. Bosco Scorace also offers specific points of interest for days planned in different ways. The forest has car parks, equipped areas with benches and rustic tables, cooking facilities, and play equipment for children. Town center and rural culture

In the center of Buseto Palizzolo, the Villa Comunale is located directly next to the town hall. It is the town's public garden and features works and sculptures integrated into the surrounding natural setting. The combination of garden and art adds a distinctive accent to the townscape. Another special place is Baglio Murfi, an old fortified estate. Its buildings and rooms are arranged around a large courtyard; parts of the buildings were constructed from dry stone masonry. To this day, Baglio Murfi preserves a small rural chapel and a characteristic livestock watering trough. From there, views extend as far as Trapani and the Aegadian Islands. The Chiesa Madonna Del Carmelo also reflects the town's rural history. Nicolò Gervasi built it in 1695 as a rural chapel. In the mid-19th century, it was rebuilt on the initiative of the chaplain Don Giuseppe Poma with the support of the local population. The church contains family tombs belonging to the Fontana family.

Location between Erice and Segesta

Buseto Palizzolo lies between Erice and Segesta and historically formed a natural route between the two ancient Elymian cities. Together with the surrounding olive groves, vineyards, and orchards, this creates a destination where natural landscapes, agriculture, and historical evidence stand closely side by side.
